One of the pair, beautiful Regency rosewood bench with brass inlay. Frame needed complete restoration. The term "Regency" is often used not only to describe the constitutional position in the nine years between 1811 and 1820 when Prince of Wales ruled as Prince Regent during the illness of his father, George III, but also the development of decorative arts and architecture at the end of the eighteenth century and the begining of the nineteenth century. Late XVIII C. mahogany Chippendale dining chair. One of the set of 8. The backsplat was totaly destroyed. This challenging restoration required disasembling the chair, fabricating new backsplat and finishing to match.

Old mahogany newspaper basket with the lifting top. All joints needed gluing, had one broken spindle and a broken leg.
A very damaged piece with many loose and missing pieces. This commode required repairs as well as refinishing. After stripping we finished the piece with traditional shellac and wax method.

As you can see this desk looks like somebody took life out of it. It lost the beauty, some brass inlay and the finish. AndrÃ©-Charles Boulle's name is synonymous with the practice of veneering furniture with marquetry of tortoiseshell, pewter, and brass. Although he did not invent the technique, Boulle was its greatest practitioner and lent his name to its common name: boulle work. Set of six walnut dining chairs. We disassambled the chairs, clean all joints, glued, made necessary repairs and re-wove new natural rush seats.

Marble top French inlaid commode. Came in to us from one of the auction houses. Needed alot of veneer work. We had to inject the hide glue and glue the delaminated veneer. Missing pieces were cut and inserted.
